Gnosall10K Route Map
  • Starting at the Gnosall Family Sports Club, the 10K route proceeds past the children’s park, down the boardwalk and on to the Route 55 cycle way (disused railway line) heading towards Newport.
  • Shortly after the 1km marker, runners leave the line and take the steps down on to the Shropshire Union Canal, heading south towards Church Eaton, continuing past the Navigation Inn and The Boat pubs.
  • After approximately another mile of what can be a pretty muddy canal towpath, runners leave the canal and cross Cowley Lane heading up the (rather muddy) Fanzlizard lane
  • At the end of the lane, runners continue through two (often very muddy!) farm fields and then along some (often extremely wet!) farm lanes which meet the Befcote Road at the Broadhill turning.
  • The route crosses the Befcote Road and continues down the lane to the woodland area of Broadhill. Runners then attack the main hill in the race by progressing up the ‘zig zag’ path to the top of Broadhill and then down through the field to the gate at the bottom.
  • Runners continue through yet another muddy footpath to the lane which then meets the Route 55 (disused railway line) and return to Gnosall and the Sports Club via the Boardwalk.
